An initial visit with a provider involves a medical history review, an assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns, and possible diagnostic tests to evaluate a patient's health, identify issues, and develop and discuss treatment options.

Diagnosis, management, and treatment of mental health disorders through medication-focused treatments, delivering personalized medication strategies to enhance patients' mental well-being.

An opportunity for potential patients to discuss their concerns or needs with a provider, or therapist, to determine if their services are a good fit and to receive initial advice or guidance. Many providers offer free or very affordable consultation services with potential patient leads.

A follow-up visit with a provider involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or concerns, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes.

A medication refill appointment with a provider typically involves a brief review of his/her existing patient's medical history, confirming the need for the medication refill, and issuing a new prescription. It may also involve evaluating any side effects or concerns related to the medication and ensuring that the treatment plan is still appropriate for the patient's needs.

In my role as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have had the privilege of providing comprehensive mental health care to a diverse range of clients. In my role as an RN charge nurse for an inpatient psychiatric unit, I oversaw the clinical operations and ensured the delivery of high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs. I effectively managed a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative environment where each member contributed to the holistic care of our patients.
