I am Dr. Jon-Michael A. Saenz is a patient-first psychiatrist with extensive training in managing severe psychotic, bipolar, and mood disorders. I also work with substance use disorders as a suboxone prescriber.
My practice aims to restore your quality of life and ease the burden that comes with managing mental illness and its far-reaching consequences in work and relationships.
I have formal training in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches that are invaluable additions to medication treatment. These approaches help minimize the number and dosage of medications needed to help manage psychiatric illness.

I believe the patient is the cornerstone of any successful mental health treatment. The most effective interventions occur as a partnership with appropriate guidance and knowledge offered by your doctor. I am not shy about offering medication when needed, or declining to prescribe because issues may be better addressed through lifestyle changes or therapy.
