Meet Bosede Apata
PMHNP
I was born in Nigeria, West Africa, and I am Board Certified as a Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I began my nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) after graduating from Lake Michigan College (LMC). I later earned my bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University Northwest and my master’s degree from Governor’s State University. I also hold a post-master’s certificate from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
My practice is Christ-centered and patient-focused. I provide culturally competent care and evidence-based holistic wellness with love, compassion, and respect for all my clients in a friendly and nonjudgmental way. To those who are depressed, anxious, lonely, troubled, or feeling hopeless—those who are tired and thinking about giving up—I want to say: DO NOT GIVE UP! Depression may have knocked you down, but don’t let it knock you out. Please, come, let us reason together. Blessings!
To ensure a well-rounded approach to your mental health care, I combine therapy or counseling with medication management that are related to depression and anxiety and with your consent, I make referrals as needed, to trusted professionals. This allows us to tailor your treatment plan to best meet your specific needs and ensure you receive the most comprehensive care possible.
