Practical Psychopharmacology

I treat adults with  newly or established psychiatric mental health diagnosis  ; either with psychopharmacology and brief therapy or both to address their needs. Initial evaulations, weekly, monthly, or quartetly follow up appointments are conducted based on the severity of illness.

Pcyshiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

While briefly working at this organization, I conducted child/adolescent psychiatric evaulations with social work collaboration for treatment  of cognitive behavioral therapy and medication management. 
Diagnosis, treatment, and plan of care created with family members to ensure compliance. 
Adult psychiatric evaulations and treatment were also conducted. 

Child and Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

-Telemetry RN- care for acute cardiac patients , admission, patient education, collobating with medical providers and discharge patients home or transfer them to ICU or medical units for further care. 

-RN Case Manager- Guide Emergency Room Attending and Medical Attending on Milliman Care Guidlines for admission criteria to prevent revenue loss and guide appropriate medical services. Provide social services to address social determinants of health; referrals to social work, initiate home care, hospice and after care services to help transition back into the community

Utilization Review Manager- working under a Physician Advisor, educating medical attendings, residents, and students on proper documentation, severity of illness and acuity of services for admission , transfer and discharge. In charge of managing appeals, denials, and approvals from insurance companies .

It may also involve evaluating any side effects or concerns related to the medication and ensuring that the treatment plan is still appropriate for the patient's needs.

An opportunity for potential patients to discuss their concerns or needs with a provider, or therapist, to determine if their services are a good fit and to receive initial advice or guidance. Many providers offer free or very affordable consultation services with potential patient leads. Providers who add Free consultation as a service receives 2-3 times more prospects.
