My work involves treating Veterans with mental health disorders through telemedicine. I perform initial mental health screenings to determine the level of care needed, diagnose patients within my current scope of practice, and develop appropriate treatment plans. When necessary and as permitted within my current scope of practice, I also prescribe medication to help manage mental health disorders. Through these efforts, I strive to provide high-quality care to Veterans, even when in-person visits are not possible or practical.

Nurse Practitioner

In my role, I am responsible for supervising and managing my assigned unit. I evaluate both children and adults, aged 5 and older, who have mental health disorders. This includes administering medication as prescribed by a physician. I also work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to my patients. Through these efforts, I aim to ensure that my patients receive the best possible care and support to manage their mental health disorders.

Family Nurse Practitioner

In my role as a mental health provider, I make mobile house calls to treat both children and adults aged 12 and older with mental health disorders. During these visits, I perform initial mental health screenings to determine the level of care needed, diagnose patients within my current scope of practice, and develop appropriate treatment plans. If necessary and permitted within my current scope of practice, I also prescribe medication to help manage mental health disorders. Additionally, I contribute to practice evaluation, policy development, and quality improvement to ensure that our services remain effective and up-to-date. Through these efforts, I aim to provide accessible and comprehensive care to patients who may not have easy access to traditional office-based care.

My work as a mental health provider involves treating both children and adults aged 5 and older who are experiencing mental health disorders. During visits, I perform initial mental health screenings to assess the level of care needed, diagnose mental disorders within my current scope of practice, and develop appropriate treatment plans. I also prescribe medication, as permitted under current collaborative practice agreements, to help manage mental health disorders. In addition to providing care to patients, I also contribute to practice evaluation, policy development, and quality improvement. Through these efforts, I aim to ensure that my patients receive the best possible care and support for their mental health needs.

As a healthcare provider, my responsibilities include overseeing a 15-bed neonatal intensive care unit, as well as nursing staff. I work collaboratively with a neonatologist on site, as well as a multidisciplinary team, to provide direct patient care and promote optimal health and wellness for the newborns under my care. Through these efforts, I strive to ensure that the infants receive the highest quality of care possible and have the best possible outcomes.

A follow-up visit with a provider involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or concerns, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes.

Follow-up Visit

An opportunity for potential patients to discuss their concerns or needs with a provider, or therapist, to determine if their services are a good fit and to receive initial advice or guidance. Many providers offer free or very affordable consultation services with potential patient leads.
