At Choose Action Counseling, I provide individual and couples therapy full time Monday through Thursday, offering a supportive space for clients to explore their challenges, relationships, and personal growth. While I primarily work with gay men, I love working with the entire LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring affirming and inclusive care for all. Every session is tailored to the client’s unique needs, whether addressing anxiety, depression, identity exploration, or relationship concerns. I conduct thorough assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and utilize evidence-based approaches to foster meaningful change. Beyond direct client work, I continuously expand my skills through ongoing training, staying current with best practices in mental health care. My goal is to help clients navigate life’s complexities with clarity, confidence, and authenticity, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and empowered in their journey toward well-being.

Psychotherapist/Owner

At the hospital, I provided individual and group therapy to patients facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, bipolar and schizophrenia and crisis stabilization. I collaborated with psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to develop and implement effective treatment plans. I was responsible for determining appropriate levels of care for patients in mental health crisis to ensure they received the support they needed. My role involved conducting comprehensive assessments, offering evidence-based interventions, and creating a supportive environment for patients navigating acute and long-term mental health concerns.

Working at Millwood Hospital was a demanding but deeply formative experience—one that shaped the clinician I am today. In a fast-paced inpatient setting, I provided crisis intervention, intake assessments, individual and family therapy, and discharge planning for patients navigating acute mental health and substance use challenges. I collaborated closely with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive care for each patient. Leading psychoeducational groups and supervising student interns further strengthened my skills in clinical leadership and education. The intensity of the work taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of compassionate, evidence-based care—lessons that continue to guide my practice every day.
