I'm a dedicated psychiatrist with 38 years of experience, specializing in compassionate mental health care.

As a psychiatrist at the University of Colorado, I worked in many different settings including inpatient, outpatient, consult-liaison, peripartum mental health, student mental health, integrated clinics with primary care, non-epileptic seizure clinic, military veteran/family mental health, and research.  As associate program director, I was in charge of the psychiatry residency curriculum and taught many classes and supervised scores of residents.  I am well-versed in both psychotherapy and medication management.

I had an Air Force scholarship to medical school.  After completing my first residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Medical Campus in Chicago, I was on active duty as Chief of Physical Medicine of the US Air Force during Desert Storm.

An initial visit with a provider involves a medical history review, an assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns, and possible diagnostic tests to evaluate a patient's health, identify issues, and develop and discuss treatment options.
