•	Provision of medication management and brief therapeutic interactions incorporating health promotion and disease management

•	Utilization of a holistic/biopsychosocial approach. Along with medication management, treatment plans may include:

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (DNP-PMHNP-BC)

•	Perform psychiatric mental status evaluations for claimants seeking disability through the Social Security Administration (SSA) of the state of Montana by telemedicine. Examinations are used to aid a panel in determining claimant’s disability status
•	Completion of detailed evaluations, includes: review of records; assessment and diagnosis of psychiatric conditions; assessment of SDOH (social determinants of health); extensive history-taking; mental status examination; prognosis; and functional assessment

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (DNP, PMHNP-BC)

•	Provision of medication management and brief therapeutic interactions incorporating health promotion and disease management
•	Experience working with patients in crisis or experiencing suicidality, including implementation of safety plans, provision of emergency interventions when needed and provision of follow up care
•	Assessment, diagnosis, care planning and treatment implementation, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions

	Provision of direct mental health services incorporating health promotion and disease management with a treatment focus
	Assessment, diagnosis, care planning and treatment implementation, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
	Utilization of therapeutic communication strategies to establish provider-patient relationship and work towards improving patient outcomes
	Provide case consultation to PCPs and/or BHCs for patients in primary care (Integrated BH/collaborative care model)
	Support and empower primary care providers (PCPs) to confidently assess and treat their patients’ BH needs
	Creation, facilitation and presentation of monthly didactic (in-service) trainings to PCPs with the goal of improving knowledge and comfort level with treating mental health conditions in primary care

	Charge nurse role requiring coordination of staffing needs, addressing any staff and patient/family issues, coordination of emergency situations, and acting as unit resource for staff while carrying a full patient load
	Provide leadership to the nursing care team for optimal patient care standards
	Precept and orient new nurses to the unit, involving skills teaching and demonstration of clinical excellence
	Utilize the nursing process to assess and implement a holistic plan of care for patients under my care
	Collaborate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary health care team for optimal patient care
	Extensive use of interpersonal communication with patients, families, and staff to create an environment of teaching and 
understanding of patient condition
	Extensive use of therapeutic communication techniques to alleviate anxiety and address mental health needs of patients/families

Nurse-Neurosurgery/Neurology

Initial visit is 60 minutes and includes: a medical history review; assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns; identify issues; develop and discuss an individualized treatment plan; and medication initiation, if needed.

Initial Visit

Follow-up visits are 30 minutes and include: checking on your progress with treatment plan; assessing any new symptoms or concerns; medication adjustments; brief therapeutic interventions; and adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes.
