In this role, I have provided comprehensive care to patients, specializing in diagnosing and treating acute or chronic mental health conditions. My responsibilities included conducting thorough psychiatric assessments, addressing physical health needs, and coordinating somatic referrals to specialists as necessary. Additionally, I played a key role in overseeing the clinical service delivery of the team, conducting medical and psychiatric evaluations, and managing medication assessments and monitoring. I also conducted mental health evaluations for both current patients and new intakes, recommended therapy when needed, and ensured the implementation of total nursing care for specific patient groups. Throughout, I ordered, performed, and interpreted laboratory and diagnostic tests to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans, while also providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adult patients.

In my role, I've delivered high-quality care to critically ill patients with diverse needs within a 28-person surgical ICU department. I've managed admissions for patients with unstable trauma, as well as those undergoing liver, kidney, or pancreas transplantation, and those experiencing respiratory failure. Additionally, I've provided assessments and implemented necessary medical interventions, including treatment for patients with delirium, acute detox, and addiction. Through attentive monitoring and prompt intervention, I've contributed to the optimal outcomes and well-being of my patients in this challenging clinical setting.
