Completing the assessment and treatment of patients with mental health and behavioral challenges. Duties involve evaluating and diagnosing patients, providing treatment, conducting reevaluations, following up, and documenting care. This work adheres to established standards, best practices, and emphasizes empathy, all aimed at enhancing patient outcomes for individuals with psychiatric conditions.

 PMHNP-BC

Engaging in activities associated with the evaluation and treatment of patients experiencing mental health and behavioral issues. Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, treatment, revaluation, follow up, and documentation of patients within the practice incorporating standards of care, best practices, empathy, and intention to improve patient outcomes for those with psychiatric illnesses

Engage in teaching, service, and scholarly activity. Teaching 24 credits per academic year in the Graduate Nursing program, in online courses. Participate in scholarly pursuits. Coordinate graduate nursing courses through syllabus modification and collaboration with Instructional Design team. Created new degree concentration, Forensic Nursing, within Stevenson University Online. Actively participate in program assessment, CCNE accreditation, department service, school and university committees, and share in university life.

 Assistant Professor

Coordinate 2 courses with theory and clinical components, deliver lecture weekly in a concept focused methodology using active teaching strategies.  Accompany seven students into acute care for clinical rotation overseeing their application of the nursing process to patient care.  Teach Assessment, Research, Adult Health II; Faculty mentor EBP & Capstone. Teach entry level, RN-BSN, & MSN students. Prepare assessments, lecture plans, test plans, and assist with simulation development & evaluation. Participate on school and university committees. Engage in scholarly research. Additional duties as required.  
 


Assistant Professor

Mentor, advise, and counsel students on undergraduate and graduate nursing academic programs, university policy and procedure.  Support 80-100 students in a remote, on-line capacity in understanding expectations, utilizing learning resources, and creating and achieving academic goals, while making a commitment to each student in helping him or her achieve success. Includes strong organization, relationship-building, strong verbal and written communication skills, versed in use of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Office, and other methods of technological correspondence.  

Program Mentor-Nursing faculty

Develop teaching plans & active learning strategies for the teaching of numerous courses to first & second term nursing students in an associate degree setting, oversee students within simulated and actual clinical experiences, incorporate the nursing process for educational teaching and learning, provide academic advice to nursing students across the learning spectrum, evaluate student learning objectives through various methods, develop remediation and probationary plans as needed, coordinate clinical program, participate on Nursing Advisory Board, Program Evaluation Committee, & Faculty Committee, oversee Peer Tutoring Group

Follow-up Visit

A prescription service appointment with a provider typically involves a brief review of his/her existing patient's medical history, confirming the need for the prescription service, and issuing a new prescription. It may also involve evaluating any side effects or concerns related to the medication and ensuring that the treatment plan is still appropriate for the patient's needs.

Prescription service

An opportunity for potential patients to discuss their concerns or needs with a provider, or therapist, to determine if their services are a good fit and to receive initial advice or guidance. Many providers offer free or very affordable consultation services with potential patient leads. Providers who add Free consultation as a service receives 2-3 times more prospects.
