Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner 

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I performed psychiatric evaluations and medication management with high acuity patients. As part of comprehensive and holistic care, I coordinated with primary care providers and community agencies. I left Peak Vista to start practicing online and obtain a better work/life balance. In protecting my own mental health, I am able to provide optimal care for my patients. 

PMHNP

I started at Milestone as a PMHNP intern during 2021 and was hired on after I graduated. In total, I was there for over a year before starting at Peak Vista. While at Milestone, I provided psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy. In addition to my clinic hours, I coordinated care in the community to reach those experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty. 

As an RN for Centura (now Common Spirit), I worked out in the community at Westside Cares. I coordinated and provided nursing services for people experiencing poverty and homelessness. 

Faith Community Nurse

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I provided counseling for adults, adolescents, and children. These services included psychological assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapy or play therapy for children. 

Psychotherapist

An initial visit involves a medical history review, an assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns, and possible diagnostic tests to evaluate your general health, identify any issues, and time to develop and discuss treatment options.

A follow-up visit with a provider involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or concerns, adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes, and about 55 minutes of therapy.

Medication Management with Therapy

A prescription service appointment with a provider typically involves a brief review of medical history, confirming the need for the prescription service, and issuing a refill prescription. It may also involve evaluating any side effects or concerns related to the medication and ensuring that the treatment plan is still appropriate.
