Greetings! Thank you for viewing my profile. I am an inclusive and affirming Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a decade of experience providing compassionate care.
I have a background in integrated care, residential treatment, and outpatient care where I have served clients from diverse populations. I have training and years of experience working with autistic individuals, people of the LGBTQAI+ community, and people with a variety of mental health diagnoses ranging from mild to severe. I work to optimize medications during our appointments in addition to the use of eclectic therapeutic interventions that meet the client's needs where they are at. We will work to adapt and cope with current and past stressors including understanding sensory sensitivities if applicable.
I am a member on the Spokane Autism Collaborative with the Spokane Regional Health District. I have been a Autism Center of Excellence since 2018.
When I am not working I enjoy learning and integrating mental health themes into my art work. I also enjoy sharing affection with my three cavapoo dogs who look like red teddy bears.

A virtual psychiatric assessment includes building rapport (relationship) and evaluating symptoms from a holistic vantage point. We will explore current and past symptoms then categorize them into diagnoses.
During the psychiatric assessment, I will discuss treatment plan(s) options including medication(s) and therapy interventions for future follow ups.

Autism Assessment
Symptom Discovery: We gather information through caregiver and/or youth reports to identify symptoms and concerns. Objective Assessment: A thorough assessment of the youth's mental status and a functional baseline is evaluated. Consultation with Informants: We may consult with informants, such as teachers, to gain additional insights into the youth's behavior and performance in academic settings. Additionally, academic accommodations by letter to school and referrals to needed supports.
