Med-Surge/Critical Care Unit/Geriatric Psych • Works independently and autonomously • Provides a focused history for initial and ongoing physical examination • Performing physical examinations appropriate for age and clinical condition • Obtaining relevant health and medical information • Formulating a plan of care for diverse patients which is proven via evidenced based practice guidelines • Creating a correct differential diagnosis per patient clinical condition • Ordering and interpreting laboratory findings for diagnosis • Developing an evidenced base care plan per differential diagnosis, physical assessment, and diagnostic findings • Create high-quality cost-effective interventions and treatment plans • Conduct patient education and answering questions to promote health • Identifying patient needs and adding resources to promote patient’s overall health, compliance, and safety Evaluating the patient’s response to the treatment regimen and patient outcomes View all
